Bud Holloway dominates the scoring league in Elitserien

The former AHL-player (191 games and 120 points for Manchester Monarchs) Bud Holloway has had a really good start in Elitserien, scoring 6 goals and making 15 assists in 15 games for Skellefteå AIK.

Last Thursday the forward from Wapella, Canada was recorded for a hat trick in the 6-0-win against Rögle BK and thanks to that performance the 24-year-old, who´s drafted by Los Angeles Kings, now dominates the scoring league in Elitserien.

Pirnes: "We played like we wanted to do"

AIK´s Esa Pirnes scored one goal in Saturday´s 2-0-win against Luleå Hockey. So far Pirnes has recorded 8 points in 10 games, which makes him AIK´s scoring leader together with Nicklas Jensen.

In Saturday´s game against MODO Colorado Avalanche's Matt Duchene will make his season debut in Elitserien.

Duchene will play in a line together with Frölunda's latest new player, Chicago Blackhawks Viktor Stålberg, and the former Detroit Red Wings player Fabian Brunnström. Here you find Frölunda-TV's pre game interview with Duchene.

Duchene and the others in Frölunda really have to watch out for St Louis Blues´ Alexander Steen, who plays in MODO during the NHL lockout, since the Blues-player so far has recorded 13 points in 8 games.

Steen/Franson/Duchene join Elitserien during NHL lockout

The St. Louis Blues-player Alexander Steen joined Elitserien and MODO last week. This week´s biggest headlines/trades so far have been Canadian Cody Franson from Toronto Maple Leafs to Brynäs and Franson´s compatriot Matt Duchene from Colorado Avalanche to Frölunda.

AIK´s Canadian Josh MacNevin did his first game for the season Tuesday night when AIK beated Rögle 5-3. The 35-year-old defender didn´t just participate for the first time this season, he also managed to score an important goal in AIK´s first win 2012/2013.

MODO´s goalkeeper from Austria, 26-year-old Bernhard Starkbaum, recorded his first shutout in Elitserien when MODO overcame Växjö Lakers 2-0. Tuesday´s win was also MODO´s third consecutive win.
