Weekly Recap: Norberg Returns
Publicerad:

With the past seven days behind us, we take a look back at player and personnel moves from around the league.
Norberg
With the new season fast approaching, most teams have finalised their opening day rosters, which means there was not a whole lot of action around the league this week. Although there was one major story that Timrå fans will be pleased about.
Kent Norberg was announced this week as the new assistant general manager for Timrå. Norberg, 57, spent two seasons playing with Timrå but, more importantly, spent over 20 seasons as the teams General Manager. During his tenure with the team he helped get them promoted to the SHL twice.
- I am very happy that "Nubben" with his experience and his network of contacts is returning home to Timrå IK. His knowledge of, above all, the Swedish market is hard to beat in Sweden. With his return, we are strengthening the management, which gives us better opportunities to work long-term and for the future, says Timrå's General Manager Kimmo Kapanen.
Norberg has spent the past two seasons as the General Manager of HV71, but is pleased to be returning to the team he knows best.
- My role as assistant General Manager will mainly consist of supporting Kimmo where it is needed both in terms of future signings and the daily work around the team. I know it will be good and look forward to the coming season, says Kent Norberg.
Departures
The only other news of note from this week concerns the departure of a trio of young players from their respective clubs.
A pair of players from Skellefteå have found new homes for the coming season. Elias Stenman, 21 has signed on with the Nybro Vikings in Hockey Allsvenskan and Theo Keilin, 20 is heading south to Denmark to play with Rungsted Seier Capital.
Arvid Hurtig, 21, was loaned from Växjö to Kalmar in hockey Allsneskan last season and he has now signed a full time contract with the team.
